FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where are you based?

I am based in Queenscliff on the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney, where I was born and raised.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, I love to! For weddings out of Sydney, I have carefully calculated travel fees, ensuring things work out cost-effectively for everyone involved.

Do you only photograph weddings?

Yes, I am a full-time professional wedding photographer. I have been photographing weddings now for over 8 years and full-time for 4 years. I do photograph lots of personal work during the off-season to keep me inspired and creative for the upcoming season.

Can we meet before the wedding?

I find that this is a great way to break the ice before your wedding. Depending on the day, we can meet over coffee, drinks or if you are too far away we can catch up on Google Hangouts. Please keep in mind I am out of Sydney most weekends.

We are really nervous about getting our photo taken. We love all the candid, natural ones and don’t really like the posed ones.

I feel the same way. My style is relaxed and natural. I won’t be forcing you to smile for every photo. In fact, you won’t even notice that I am there for most of the day. I give plenty of direction to make you guys feel comfortable. None of that cheesy stuff!

There are a few key moments and photos I want to make sure aren’t missed, is it okay to send them to you?

Of course! I have a Wedding Day Q&A and on that, you can include all the important details of your day and any little special requests.

We would love to get a wedding album!

I cannot recommend a wedding album more highly. There is something special about holding your photos in your hands, sharing stories as you turn each page. Not just today, but for years to come. Each wedding and each story is different, so all albums are custom designed.

What’s your opinion on having a second photographer? Do we need one?

Generally, with weddings with a guest count of over 150 guests, I would recommend a second photographer. I can only be in one place at a time, so a second can be very important if certain photographs are important to you. I will be able to give you my recommendation once we work out the complexity of the wedding. A second photographer is available at a separate fee.

Can you hold our date until we make a decision?

Given the nature of the wedding industry, I accept bookings on a first-come, first-serve basis. Given the number of enquiries I receive and couples, I meet each week, unfortunately, it’s not manageable to hold tentative dates.

How do we make our booking?

To secure your date, a signed contract and a $1500 non-refundable booking fee is required. The final balance is due 30 days before your wedding date.

When do we get our images?

In peak season it takes 4 – 6 weeks until you have your full set of wedding photos. A small selection of images is edited within a few days after your wedding, followed by a highlight slideshow usually about two weeks from your wedding.

How do we get our images?

When your photos have been finished up, you will receive a gift box in the mail letting you know your wedding has been uploaded onto your private online gallery. In your gallery, you can download all the images in high/low resolution, create favourite lists, share with socials, order prints and frames.

How many images will we receive?

This is a hard one to answer as every wedding is so different… On average for a full day wedding, it’s anywhere from 600 – 900+ photographs.

Can we order some prints or frames with you?

You sure can. On your private gallery, there is an amazing built-in store with one of my favourite print labs where you can order prints, frames and lots of other amazing products.

Do you need us to send you a list of people that we would like to photograph with?

Sure you can, but it’s not necessary, only because I don’t know who’s your cousins or work friends. I always recommend leaving a list with one of your family members to help organise the formal family photos.

Do you offer videography?

I do not offer videography. However, I have a group of very talented industry friends with who I work very closely on almost all of my weddings. Once your date is set and the booking confirmed, I can send you a list of who is available.

What happens if disaster strikes and you can’t be there on the day?

This has and never will happen. However, if it did I have contacts all over Australia that are available to step in and shoot for me. These are other talented professional wedding photographers who will take good care of you on the day. I will still look after all the editing and delivery of photos.
